“Sons of Anarchy’s” Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie to Spend Day with Troops and their Families at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center 29 Palms on USO Visit”
What: USO visit featuring “Sons of Anarchy” cast members ** Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie**
When: May 11, 2012
Where: Marine Corps Air Ground Combate Center 29 Palms, Calif.
Why: Actors Ron Perlman, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie are gearing up for a USO visit to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) 29 Palms where the trio will visit with Marines and their families. The cast members of the hugely popular FX original series “Sons of Anarchy” have proven to be a big hit among troops, and those good feelings are mutual. In 2010, the show sent cast members, Kim Cotes, Mark Boone Junior, Theo Rossi and Dayton Callie, to deliver a touch of home to more than 2,000 troops stationed in Kuwait and Iraq.
Since then the band of actors have been enthusiastically showing their support for America’s men and women in uniform. Last year, Rossi and Coates joined about 300 Soldiers at Fort Hood, in Texas, for a Motorcycle Mentorship ride – a 50 -mile motorcycle ride to help the bas promote Motoryccle Safety Awareness Month. This will be the first USO experience for Perlman and the second for both Rossi and Callie.
Quotes:
Attributed to Ron Perlman:
“The men and women who support our country are the real stars, and they deserve to know that America appreciates their hard work, dedication and the sacrifices they and their families make every day. That’s why taking part in this USO visit was so important to me.”
Attributed to Theo Rossi:
“Being able to travel to Kuwait and Iraq on my first USO tour and visit troops was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and it gave me an even greater respect for all that they sacrifice. Being able to show that same support to troops and their families here in California, where we film the show, is something I am just as honored to do.”
Attributed to Dayton Callie:
“As a veteran, the respect and gratitude I have for the men and women who defend our country is immeasurable. I am grateful to the USO for the opportunity to be able to tell our troops face-to-face how much their service is appreciated.”
