American-Made RSD “Lazy Boy” Jacket For The Café Crowd
June 15, 2012 – Los Alamitos, CA - The new “Lazy Boy” jacket is as inviting as a well broken-in Barcalounger… and even more comfortable. The Lazy Boy blends Cafe Racer fit and function with the durability and comfort of a heavy cotton duck fabric. An added benefit of the 14.75 oz. duck material is the fact that it is water-repellent, yet breathable – perfect for summer time riding.
“We wanted a jacket that was simple and breathable to keep those summer rides cool,” explains designer Roland Sands. “Yet it still had to provide a measure of protection and fit like a proper cafe-style jacket. The Lazy Boy was the result.” Another great feature, it is made in America.
Function follows form and true to its roots, a cafe shorty-style snap collar, rotated pre-curved sleeves, zip-up cuffs and dropped back panel were all incorporated into the design brief. “With the chest pockets, shoulder pocket and an additional soft-lined electronics pocket inside, there is plenty of room to stash everything you need.” says Sands. A touch of color comes from the red satin liner, but the choice of black and khaki exteriors keeps it subtle.
